Compassion for Couples Online is a hybrid six-week program, adapted from the popular Compassion for Couples instructor-led retreat program. This online hybrid offering provides more flexibility for couples on their journey to deeper awareness and compassion. During this hybrid program, you will:

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Michelle is the developer of the Compassion for Couples program and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in San Diego, California, USA and is the author of: Compassion for Couples: Building the Skills of Loving Connection (Guilford Press).
Additionally, she is a certified teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion, Compassion Cultivation Training, and The Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™ programs, and a senior teacher trainer, mentor, and co-founder of the teacher-training program in Mindful Self-Compassion. She teaches and speaks on the topics of compassion for self and others nationally and internationally.

No. Some background knowledge in mindfulness and compassion are recommended, but not required. This program uses the skills of mindfulness and compassion to teach how to build a strong and healthy foundation for relationships, and provides skills to help navigate the difficulties that arise within us and between us.
Live meetings with the teacher and your cohort occur once a week, for six weeks. Each meeting will be two and a half hours. Weekly meetings will occur on Sundays at 4pm Pacific Time.
You will have access to the interactive online modules for the duration of the 6-week program plus one month. You will have full access to download the meditations.
While couples usually prefer to attend from the same location, if there are times you are unable to be in the same location, you can still attend.
